The long-awaited release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has finally occurred. It is currently scoring astronomically well, has been Insomniac’s top-rated title since 2004, and is most certainly a GOTY contender. But most importantly, it’s just a tremendously entertaining game.
Since the game is designed to largely play itself through its upgrades and strategies, I don’t think there is much guidance to be given.
The most recent of Sony’s PlayStation Studios’ high-caliber narrative-driven games is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Insomniac’s newest game is essentially an intense narrative campaign that takes place within an open environment, despite the fact that it is set in a massive New York City.
The sequel really shines in this story of two Spideys, and it shows how dependable Sony continues to be when it comes to producing single-player games that delight as much as they move us.
