Football Week 4 Waiver Wire

NFL Week 4 waiver wire cheat sheet for all league sizes and types that can help you enhance your roster and win more games than your rivals.

The best generally available free agents for fantasy football will be included each week, with “widely available” defined as being owned in around half of all ESPN or Yahoo leagues, along with a few players who would likely be better off in the free agency pool rather than sitting on your squad.

With a wide range of resources at our disposal, including our Waiver Wire Assistant, we will have you covered throughout the 2023 Fantasy football season. Get a thorough breakdown of the top players that are still available and how potential waiver wire additions would affect your club. Naturally, each week our team of analysts will also provide written recommendations. See below for this week’s top waiver wire targets. Be sure to read our complete waiver wire piece for the week as well.

Nacua had at least 21.9 PPR points in each of the season’s first two games, but the Bengals limited him to only five catches for 72 yards on seven targets. Williams only had 10 carries for 38 yards and two catches for 27 yards on seven targets on Monday, despite having at least 17.4 PPR points in each of the first two games.

Both ought to recover in Week 4 against the Colts. Both should be viable Fantasy starters going forward, but we’ll have to wait until Cooper Kupp (hamstring) is healthy to know what will happen with Nacua.

The idea is that if we do our job of pointing you in the proper direction, the player or players can then produce consistently. We’re hoping to finish it before they start a riot so you won’t have to use up all of your FAB.

Achane and Dell are two of the players we’ll feature once more this week, along with Josh Palmer and Quentin Johnston as Mike Williams’ (ACL) substitutes. The waiver wire is going to be active once again this week.

Just keep in mind that even while these guys are necessary and should succeed, they will occasionally fall short. Just remain calm if they do.

Waiver Wire Details

Quarterbacks

STAR

Jameis Winston

Winston is a top addition for Week 4 if you play in a Superflex league, which permits a second QB to be started at another flex position. He is a seasoned quarterback who is aggressive, and the New Orleans WR group is loaded with playmakers.

ADD

Coleridge Bernard Stroud

In his first three NFL contests, the Houston quarterback showed poise and acumen. In his last two games, he passed for 280 and 384 yards and two touchdowns. With 121 tries, Stroud is fourth in the NFL. He plays the Steelers, whose passing defense is ranked 22nd in the NFL, in his fourth NFL game.

Tight Ends

STAR

Dalton Kincaid

Between the Bills and Dolphins, everyone anticipates a shootout. Week 4 could see Kincaid put forth his first strong fantasy performance because Miami allows the 25th-most FFPG to TEs.

ADD

Luke Musgrave

The rookie for the Packers faced a Detroit defense that gives up the most FFPG to tight ends and had eight targets in Week 3. Before Musgrave puts up fantasy numbers that make him a more desirable waiver wire target the following week, you should buy him.

Running Backs

SART

J. Jacobs

Jacobs had 20 touches for a total of 80 scrimmage yards in Week 3, and he should be active once more. In 10-team fantasy leagues in particular, some players could think about reserving him, but Jacobs should start this game. In his most recent encounter with the Chargers, he carried for 144 yards and a touchdown.

ADD

Zack Moss

Moss should at least put up respectable numbers in this fantasy matchup against the Rams, who rank 16th in rushing yards allowed to RBs.

ADD

Elijah Mitchell

This waiver suggestion serves as a reminder to list your best fantasy RBs’ top NFL backups. A sizable wave of RB injuries that has already occurred has made players like Jerome Ford possible replacements. RBs like Rico Dowdle of Dallas and Mitchell, who is San Francisco’s backup to Christian McCaffrey, are essential additions for teams that have both McCaffrey and Tony Pollard on their rosters.

ADD

Jerick McKinnon

The seasoned player is the Kansas City committee’s go-to pass-catcher, and in Week 3, he hauled in two touchdown passes. You already know what McKinnon can offer in PPR formats given that he had nine touchdown catches the previous season.

Wide Receivers

ADD

Quentin Johnston

With Mike Williams (knee) out for the season, Joshua Palmer, who caught a touchdown pass the previous week, is another option. The Chargers selected Johnston in the first round of the 2023 draft, and he might potentially be a WR3 in fantasy football.

ADD

Adam Thielen

The former Minnesota WR is defying fantasy gamers’ expectations in terms of statistics at the age of 33. In two straight games, he has 18 receptions on 23 targets, including two touchdown receptions. Thielen will next play his former team after recording 145 receiving yards in Week 3. The Vikings are 30th in terms of FFPG given to WRs.

START

Jerry Jeudy

In his first game of the year last week, Jeudy caught five passes for 81 yards. This week’s game against Chicago’s 30th-ranked pass defense should be even better.

START

Nico Collins

Tank In a resurrected passing game for Houston, Dell has been contributing some early-season gems. Dell may also start to get more defensive attention, but he deserves all the fantasy honors that are being given to him. The Steelers, who rank 26th in FFPG allowed to WRs, present C.J. Stroud with the opportunity to retaliate by making this a Collins week.
