Sergio Brown, an Ex National Football player (NFL), has been captured due to the charge of first-degree murder of his mother. The Maywood Police had taken him into custody after an arrest warrant was issued.

Sergio Brown had been missing since last month when his mother’s died. Myrtle Brown (NFL player’s mother) died due injuries so it might be happened someone attempted murder on her. On 16 September, the Police found his mother’s dead body in a creek.

After authorities in Illinois obtained an arrest warrant related to his mother’s death, Sergio Brown, the former NFL player, was deported by Mexican law enforcement. The arrest took place in California, and it was announced by authorities in Maywood, a suburb of Chicago. Brown was apprehended while trying to re-enter the United States at the San Diego border crossing with Mexico.

Sergio Brown was placed under arrest following the issuance of an arrest warrant. He may face charges of first-degree murder in relation to the death of his mother, Myrtle Brown. She was discovered dead outside her suburban residence in mid-September. Authorities are currently working on the process of extradition.

Police and other Law enforcements departments had been consciously working on the finding for the former NFL player, Sergio Brown after his mother’s dead body was found behind her residence near a creek in suburban Chicago. The medical report of his mother claimed that she had major injuries consistent hurt with an assault. So, they thought that it’s a murder not a natural death.

Sergio Brown had a career as a defensive back, playing for the New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Buffalo Bills from 2010 to 2016. He attended Proviso East High School in Maywood and pursued his studies at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana.

Sergio Brown had been missing for nearly a month following the discovery of his mother, Myrtle Jean Simmons-Brown’s body. The body was found on September 16 near a creek behind her residence in Maywood, a suburb of Chicago. The Cook County medical examiner’s office determined that she had suffered multiple injuries due to an assault.

Sergio Brown, aged 35, was apprehended as he re-entered the United States from Mexico, according to Maywood police.

In a statement, Simmons-Brown’s family expressed their relief upon hearing the news of Sergio Brown’s arrest and safe return to the U.S.

Both Sergio and Myrtle Brown were reported missing on September 16 by concerned relatives who were unable to locate or contact them, as stated by the police.

On that day, the police conducted a search for the home that Sergio and Myrtle shared. Authorities discovered Myrtle’s body near a creek close to their residence.

According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, Myrtle Brown’s cause of death was determined to be injuries sustained during an assault. Her death was ruled a homicide.

The day after Myrtle’s body was found, Sergio’s brother, Nick Brown, took to social media to seek help in locating him. Nick wrote a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing his love for Sergio and urging him to come home.

In response to the situation, Nick Brown shared a message of sadness and hope, emphasizing the importance of staying strong together. He recalled his mother’s words of encouragement, reminding him that tough times are temporary and serving as a beacon of hope for him.

The Maywood police had previously acknowledged the existence of a video circulating on social media. The video purportedly features Sergio Brown in a tropical location, discussing “fake news” and expressing the belief that his mother was on vacation. However, the police did not confirm whether the person in the video was indeed Sergio Brown, and details regarding its location and time of recording remain unclear.

Currently, the family of Myrtle Brown, represented by lawyer Chirstian Conway, shared a statement calling on the authorities to start the investigate about her death and shared the secret of her death.
