Cassidy Hutchinson, the former Donald Trump White House assistant

Cassidy Hutchinson, the former Donald Trump White House assistant, wrote in her new book, “Enough,” that the last days of Donald Trump in office were even more disorderly and unlawful than she had already revealed in her dramatic televised statement last summer. President Donald Trump lashes out in unpredictable ways and makes outrageous demands.

Mark Meadows, Chief of Staff, distributes secret documents to right-wing media personalities and destroys files. Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s lawyer, gropes Hutchinson improperly on the day of the Capitol insurgency.

She also displays key Republican politicians, like Speaker Kevin McCarthy, openly declaring behind closed doors what they refused to tell the American people: that Donald Trump has lost and Joe Biden won the presidential election.

Hutchinson’s book chronicles her remarkable climb from enthusiastic Capitol Hill intern at the start of Trump’s presidency to indispensable staffer to the White House chief of staff in the president’s final year.

Cassidy Hutchinson, who became a key witness in the January 6 attack, says the Republican Party is experiencing a “make-or-break moment” in deciding whether to endorse him for president in 2024.

On Monday, Cassidy Hutchinson spoke of Trump during an interview with Rachael Maddow. We’re speaking about a person who, at his core, nearly demolished democracy in one day and now wants to do it again. It is an apparent reference to the ex-president’s supporters’ charge on the US Capitol following his electoral defeat to Democratic opponent Joe Biden nearly three years ago

Hutchinson also referred to the more than 90 counts filed against Trump in four different criminal investigations. Since January 6, he has been charged four times. If I were a Republican who supported Donald Trump, I would not be able to sleep at night with a clean conscience. And I believe that if they are unwilling to separate from it, we are in severe trouble.

Hutchinson addressed and promptly denied reports that she had dated Matt Gaetz, the far-right Republican US lawmaker from Florida who promoted the claims himself, in a separate memorable segment of her conversation with Maddow.

Regarding the popularity of men like Donald Trump and Gaetz in her party, Hutchinson maintained that she was still a Republican, albeit one more in the tradition of Senator Mitt Romney or the late President Ronald Reagan, whom some regard as more moderate conservatives in retrospect.

“I don’t think Mr. Trump is a solid Republican,” Cassidy Hutchinson stated, saying that in the next presidential election, it’s an establish-or-break scenario for the Republican Party, in my view.”If these party officials want to make a change and take a stand, they must do so now.

Cassidy Hutchinson Provided Shocking Evidence

During live legislative sessions in the summer of 2022, Hutchinson provided some of the most shocking evidence concerning the Capitol attack under subpoena. Trump accosting a Secret Service member and lunging for the steering wheel of the car he was in after he was told he would not be taken to the Capitol on the day of the attack were two significant events she was told about.

Cassidy’s statement included many of the stories she told about that day. “Big guy knows,” Ornato claimed of Trump’s knowledge of the weapons that his supporters were carrying, and Hutchinson found the news reassuring at this point in the story as if it meant Trump would do everything to stop it.

Hutchinson said she was thinking about what she was required to do as the attack on the Capitol developed, and she was scared it could be the start of a coup. She also said we must have an alternate strategy in place in case something catastrophic occurs.

She wrote that even this was insufficient. Cassidy remains on Trump’s team. Hutchinson remained in her position, unlike White House communications director Alyssa Farah, who resigned on December 3, 2020, and deputy White House press secretary Sarah Matthews, who left on January 6, 2021.

The book also solves one of the January 6 inquiry’s mysteries: With so many resistant witnesses, how did the committee know what to ask Hutchinson to get her to reveal her devastating evidence while she was still represented by the Trump world’s attorney? According to Hutchinson, she collaborated with Farah and told her everything she knew.
