On a night when Golden State supporters were finally ready to witness him live after all these years, Kevin Durant greeted a lot of the people he had become so close to throughout his three incredible seasons with the Warriors. He then scarcely showed his best shooting performance.

Even so, he ruined the home team’s debut as the Phoenix Suns emerged victorious in the initial meeting between the Pacific Division heavyweights. 

Kevin Durant, who was dropped by the Warriors following the 2019 NBA Finals, played in front of Bay Area fans for the first time, while Stephen Curry scored 27 points to his old shooting partner’s 18.

At 8:21 in the third quarter, Curry scored seven points in consecutive minutes to bring the Warriors within 64-61, forcing Phoenix to seek a timeout. The Suns gave a great performance in the third, and they went 2 for 14, while the Golden State started their journey with a score of 27-5 runs.

It was great to see some familiar faces and catch up with some folks I hadn’t seen in a long time. It is always important to have a good experience with the work you do. Stated Durant. The backing that I’ve seen from the fans here has only been love and respect for me as a player and a person. All I can ask for is that.

In his last seconds, Jusuf Nurkic, making his Suns debut, earned 14 points, pulled down 14 rebounds, and nailed a driving layup. Booker, who entered the game doubtfully due to discomfort in his left big toe, finished with eight assists, six rebounds, and a start. He made eight of the Suns’ first 13 points and made his first three baskets.

Durant Got Appreciation:

For the first time since he guided the Warriors to two titles, two NBA Finals MVP honors, and three straight Finals berths from 2017 to 2019, Durant received enthusiastic applause from the crowd.

During pregame introductions, the Warriors screened video highlights on the big screen. After recognizing the love with a heart pat and an arm raise, Durant went 7 for 22 and collected 10 rebounds.

Many enjoyable moments throughout the video. According to Durant, we were able to quickly revisit some of those recollections. However, it was fantastic to come in and start the season with a great victory.

Due to low back difficulty, G Bradley Beal was not able to play in the game, but first-year coach Frank Vogel is hopeful that he will return to action against the Lakers on Thursday. He is trying to straighten up the back, and he just isn’t ready yet, Vogel stated. On the home court of Golden State, Phoenix has dropped 18 of the previous 22 games. 

Veteran chaplain for the Warriors and 49ers, Earl Smith, made his way back to the arena after missing the end of the previous campaign due to a crash during the All-Star weekend in Utah involving an Uber driver who began to drive while he was only standing on one leg.
